Woot Woot!

Getting up BRIGHT AND EARLY tomorrow to head off to NYC! Animation workshop starts tomorrow! I'm really looking forward to this opportunity! I think it will be a great learning experience, and I can't wait to hear from people who have made it in the industry. Plus it's a great way to meet new people!

I will post again later with any cool factoids or interesting stories :).

ALSO I am in the middle of making my own website, where I can post art in a more organized way, change the layout, etc.  I will put a link up here as soon as it is ready!

Update!

Sorry I've been so MIA lately! I'm in the middle of starting my own website to display my portfolio and such (finally). I'm also attending a workshop/masterclass if you will in NYC next month! It's being taught by 3 artists from PIXAR and I'm ECSTATIC! It's a 3 day event 9-5 so I will be exhausted but my sleep deprivation will be well worth it :) We're allowed to take notes so I'll be sure to post things I found really interesting here. They're also going to be talking about their work making Monsters University (eeeek!) I think this will be a great experience and definitely a great way to meet new people who are already in the field.

Really gotta get back into the swing of Maya. Hopefully it's like riding a bike, you never forget, right? RIGHT?!

PS like the new header? I've been practicing painting in illustrator, so this was my attempt at a self portrait. SO much different than painting in Photoshop! On one had, I love how smooth it is, and I like that you can paint in the lines. But at the same time I'm still not as familiar with the program so getting more brushstrokes than the simple 2 they give you, for example, I have no idea how to do.
